52nd Annual Kid’s Fishing Rodeo

Twin Lakes Park, Dutchtown, LA (where Hwy 74 crosses I-10)

FREE to all kids 2 thru 14 years of age

  • Registration starts at 6:30am
  • Fishing is from 7:00am-9:00am
  • Several age groups and prize categories, so even the “little ones” can win
  • Trophies awarded immediately after tally of results
  • Lots of door prizes, including 4 bicycles

TO PARENTS:

  • Bring an ice chest with water or drinks to keep your kids hydrated while they are fishing.  We will serve kool-aid and water after 9:00 A.M.
  • Kids must bring their own rod and reel or cane pole and must use live bait (crickets, worms, etc.) No artificial lures allowed
  • Bring a bucket for the fish and a couple of chairs
  • Keep all fish that are caught, no matter how small (sorry, no turtles or eels)
  • Kids are allowed to fish with only one rod and reel or cane pole
  • Parents may help bait the hook and cast, but the kids must land the fish
  • Parents do not have to be EASL members for their kids to fish
  • CHILDREN MUST NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED

Sporting Clays Scramble, June 16 at Hunter’s Run Gun Club

2011 Shooting Match

Join us for EASL’s 7th annual Sporting Clays Scramble, Saturday, June 16th, 2012 at Hunter’s Run Gun Club, in Port Allen, La.

We are looking for Individual Shooters, Corporate Team Shooters, Station Sponsors, Door Prizes, Meal Sponsors and Volunteer workers for the day of the event. You do not have to be a professional or a Corporate Team member to win a prize and have fun! Scramble teams will be chosen by random drawing and prizes will be awarded in Scramble Team, Corporate Team, and Individual Shooters categories.

Hunter’s Run Gun Club, one of our area’s most popular shooting ranges, will once again host this event for us and has comfortable accommodations for everyone, including non-participants who might want to cheer their favorite shooters on! It’s a friendly day of competition and fellowship and EASL’s  fundraising event.

Registration begins at 7:30 A.M., Competition starts at 8:30 A.M. Entry Fee includes event shooting (100 rounds) a great meal and drinks after the match. For more information contact Barney Callahan @ (225) 445-6870.
